Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)

We manufacture Polypropylene Staple fibre PPSF (virgin PPSF fiber) at our new state of the art plant at Gajraula, U.P., India. Polypropylene staple fibre is used to manufacture Air Filter, Water filter and other industrial fabric, It is also used for woven carpets, non woven carpets, upholstery, carpet backing etc.

Polypropylene staple fibres offers superior feature due to its lowest specific gravity resulting into better relative coverage, high dimensional stability, excellent recovery properties namely elasticity and resiliency, low thermal conductivity, lowest static charge and its inertness to chemicals.

Polypropylene staple fibres are generally not dyeable, we can make colour Polypropylene staple fibre with dope dyed technology. The denier range of PP Fibre manufactured is 1.5D to 70Denier.

Process of Manufacturing Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)

Polypropylene fibre is manufactured from isotactic polypropylene chips by melt spinning process. In this process molten polymer from a manifold is metered through various spinnerets, having number of holes to form filaments. These filaments/fibres are then solidified by air/water quenching and after application of spin finish are collected in cans. The fibre is stretched several times in a chemical hot bath, relaxed and crimped to be made suitable for various spinning systems.

Usage of Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF) in GeoTextile

Geotextiles are permeable fabrics which, when used in association with soil, have the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect, or drain. Typically made from polypropylene or polyester, geotextile fabrics come in three basic forms: woven (resembling mail bag sacking), needle punched (resembling felt), or heat bonded (resembling ironed felt).

We have specially developed POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBER FOR NON WOVEN GEO TEXTILE keeping in mind the requirements of geo-textiles sector by using high quality additives to impart high strength & UV properties.

Higher Breaking Tenacity and higher Breaking Elongation are the pre-requisites for a Good Quality Geotextile.

UV Stabilised Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)

We also manufacture VIRGIN POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBER UV STABILIZED. The UV stabilisation is done by using high quality HALS based UV Stabiliser in desirable proportions to meet Indian as well as global standards.

Applications of Virgin Polypropylene Staple Fibre (PPSF)

Spinning Yarns, Filer Fabrics, GeoTextile, Auto-mobiles floor carpet, thermal bonded fabrics, insulations, carpet, filter fabrics, felts and non woven carpet, building construction, RCC

Polypropylene staple fibre (PPSF) is also available in short cut length for RCC building construction and making cement sheets, tiles and hume pipes. This enhances strength of the cement/RCC. Fibre Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is Portland Cement concrete reinforced with thousands of small fibres more or less randomly distributed during mixing and thus improve concrete properties in all directions. Polypropylene fibres of 0.5% to 1% are normally used in concrete. Natural white polypropylene fibres of 3 and 6 Deniers and in lengths of 6, 12 and 20mm respectively are commonly used in various applications.
